Two star players Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant - Fit or Unfit

Hardik Pandya is anticipated to be in good health and prepared for participation in the IPL 2024. Following an ankle injury during the 2023 World Cup, which led to his withdrawal from the tournament and raised concerns about his availability for the upcoming IPL season, late 2023 reports indicated a positive recovery trajectory. Multiple factors support the likelihood of Pandya taking the field for the Mumbai Indians. Firstly, December 2023 news reports highlighted his favorable progress in rehabilitation, indicating that he was on course to achieve the fitness targets for the IPL. Secondly, in January 2024, social media circulated video clips showcasing Pandya engaging in demanding training sessions, underscoring his strong commitment to being ready for IPL matches.

Rishabh Pant's participation in IPL 2024 remains uncertain. After a car accident in December 2022, Pant underwent rehabilitation supervised by the BCCI. Reports throughout 2023 consistently highlighted positive progress, with Pant sharing videos of his batting and wicket-keeping in practice nets. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) holds the final decision on Pant's fitness. As of today, March 9, 2024, there has been no official announcement regarding his clearance. If granted full clearance by the NCA, Pant could potentially participate in the entire IPL season, possibly even taking on the role of a wicket-keeper batsman, though he might initially play as a batsman only. There is a favorable likelihood that Rishabh Pant will be part of the action in IPL 2024.
