The chances of the Underdog in IPL2024
The following four teams have never won the IPL trophy in its history. Do they have a chance in 2024 to come out as champions
Delhi Capitals (DC): Considered as middle-tier contenders with reasonable odds. Boasting a formidable batting lineup featuring Warner and Pant along with a dynamic pace attack led by Nortje. Nevertheless, they must address issues such as middle-order batting depth, leadership uncertainties, and a history of inconsistency.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Identified as another strong contender, RCB possesses a fervent fanbase and a star-studded batting lineup, including Faf du Plessis and, optimistically, a resurgent Virat Kohli. The significant advantage of their home ground, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, adds to their strengths. However, their track record of faltering in finals and the challenge of handling pressure remain noteworthy concerns.
Punjab Kings (PBKS): Despite having prominent names and explosive players, consistency has been elusive for them. They must construct a well-balanced team capable of delivering consistent performances throughout the tournament.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG): As a relatively new team established in 2022, LSG exhibited promise in their inaugural season. The key challenge for them lies in replicating that success and fostering team cohesion in subsequent seasons.
