MUMBAI INDIANS vs GUJARAT TITANS IPL 2024

 The most interesting opening match of IPL 2024 is here. Mumbai Indians face Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. Hardik Pandya will be making his debut as MI captain in the same home ground where he led GT to title victory in 2022 and led them to the final against CSK last year.

Rohit Sharma, the captain who helped MI to five IPL titles is only an opening batsman in the team now. And Hardik Pandya who was released by MI a couple of years back is back in MI as captain. Hardik Pandya is playing today against the teammates who he nurtured as a captain and made them a winning side. Interesting showdown indeed.

The IPL 2024 auction was held on December 19, 2023, at Coca Cola Arena, Dubai. The auction was held outside India for the first time. The ten IPL teams (franchises) had a combined purse of INR 262.95 crore (USD 31.58 million approx.) available to spend at this auction. This was the highest combined purse available for any mini-auction till now. A total of 333 players (capped and uncapped) for 77 available slots (30 overseas) were ready to be filled up at this auction.
