FOCUS ON JAISWAL AND JUREL – RR vs LSG IPL 2024

 Yashasvi Jaiswal has played for Rajasthan Royals since 2020 and this is his fifth season with the franchise, Similarly, Dhruv Jurel has been with Royals since 2022 onwards but the spotlight on both of them is intense this year after their stupendous performance against England in the Test Series.

KL Rahul has been in the news in the recent past more for his injuries than his playing. Paddikal also had a good debut in the English series.

Both teams seem to have a good lineup with strong players. Sanju Sampson has won the toss and decided to bat first. The crowd is palpable with excitement at expected Jaiswal heroics.

 IPL Chairman, Arun Dhumal, in an interview with PTI (Press Trust of India), announced that the IPL 2024 edition is likely to commence on March 22. He also said that all the matches would be played in India despite the general election dates coinciding with the tournament dates. He revealed that in the beginning only the first 15 days schedule will be declared and the rest of the schedule will be declared after the declaration of the election dates by the Election Commission of India. RR DEMOLISHES MI IN WANKHEDE - IPL 2024

When Hardik Pandya came into the ground for the toss he was booed. The booing was so bad that Sanjay Manjrekar had to ask the crowd to behave. But this booing set the tone of the evening. Sampson won the toss and decided to field first. Trent Boult started the attack with the new ball. He took 2 wickets in the last two balls and that also wickets of Rohit Sharma and Naman Dheer. For MI, the match seemed to get over at the end of this over. They never recovered from this loss. They kept losing wickets at short intervals. All the batters barring Pandya and Tilak Verma put up no resistance to RR Bowling attack.  Nobody created an impact on RR bowlers. Both RR bowling and fielding was superb today. The catches were brilliant especially the two catches by Hetmeyer were great. They carried an economy rate of  tmore than 8 which is great for a T20. KKR TOO GOOD FOR RCB - IPL 2024

The wait continues for RCB fans. It's been nine long years since RCB defeated KKR in Chinnaswamy Stadium. KKR batted, bowled, and fielded better than RCB. They completely outplayed RCB. The batting by RCB was atrociously bad. Kohli managed to make an unbeaten 84 runs off 59 balls but knowing his batting capability, one expected that Kohli would hit a century after being out there for all 20 overs of the innings. Barring Kohli, Green and Maxwell contributed a little but both did not seem comfortable at the crease. RCB needs to realise, that they cannot survive in the tournament based on one person’s performance. They need to buck up as a team and work on their performance. On the other hand, KKR played a great game. Their bowling was perfect, batting was perfect. Fielding not so perfect as they dropped some plum catches.
